Are schools open?

All schools are open and returning to full-time learning on from Monday 25/5/2020.

Should my child return to school?

All children are expected to return to school, unless they are unwell or unless they have a medical certificate which states that they are unable to return to school due to an ongoing medical condition. Children who live with a family member who has a chronic illness or are immunosuppressed are still expected to attend school unless the child has a written exemption from school by a medical professional.

Are schools safe?

Schools are safe. All school activities and operations are conducted in line with Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) and NSW Health guidelines as applicable.

What hygiene practices are in place for my child?

Students are required to regularly wash their hands, avoid sharing drinks or food and cough or sneeze into their elbow or tissue which is discarded immediately.

What if my child is sick?

Please keep your child at home and contact the school via SkoolBag with this information.

Can I still send my child to school if someone at home is showing symptoms of Covid-19 or has been tested for COVID-19?

Please seek medical advice from NSW Health on their Information Line 1800 020 080.

Can I come into school?

We prefer that all non-essential people are not on the school site. Please remain outside the school at drop-off and pick-up times.

What can I do if I need to contact the school?

Please call the front office on 6752 1913 or send an email moree-p.admin@det.nsw.edu.au.

Do I need to send a drink bottle for my child?

Yes, all students will need a drink bottle which they can fill up at school at designated taps that are cleaned regularly.

In the afternoon pick-up how can I physically distance myself as it is very crowded?

We have extended the time you can collect your child – 2:50 – 3:10pm to allow you to keep safe.

What about the Canteen and Uniform Shop?

Our Canteen is fully operational, but the Uniform Shop is closed. Instead it is taking orders online. Please contact the P&C via Flexischools and your order will be given to your child.
