Giddy up... was the order of the day

Giddy up... was the order of the day for the amazing MPS horse riders competing at the Inter-school horse sports day hosted by Calrossy at Tamworth on Friday, 11th November. Mrs Hosegood accompanied the team of ten riders and has nothing but praise for the students and their horses – not to mention the ten mothers who provided the transport! The team looked exceptional in their parade to the marshalling area and proceeded to show outstanding horsemanship in the arena with numerous ribbons awarded.

Well done to: Emily Mills and Top Gun; Rachel Makim and Shale; Justin Egan and Costa; Philippa Schoupp and Qucksilver Fox; Zac Bowerman and Kizmet; Paige Bowerman and Majestic Slim; Blayne O'Dempsey and Wilber; Rylee O'Dempsey and Glen Lee Rivoli Focus; Jack McDonald and Dustin Midnight Catt; Beatrix Warburton and Koorana Noble Rarity. Appreciation is also extended to Mr Hosegood and Mrs Egan for kindly being team managers and Jemima Warburton for team scoring duties. At the presentation ceremony, Trixie was awarded champion rider for 8 year age group and overall highest point score for the primary division; Jack McDonald was 9 year champion and also Reserve Champion in the boy rider; Blayne O'Dempsey was announced 10 year runner-up champion; whilst Emily Mills, Justin Egan and Blayne O'Dempsey not only won first place but also second place for the team penning event – quite an achievement!
