Our partnership with Neutral Bay Public through the City Country Alliance continues to grow. Recently, 30 students and 3 teachers from Neutral Bay visited MPS spending time in classrooms, enjoying a variety of sporting activities on the oval as well as touring key sites in the area including Myall Creek and the generous hospitality of a local farming family. The Neutral Bay students certainly enjoyed the opportunity to run and play on the lush grass of the school – a pleasure they do not have in an inner Sydney school.
The program seeks to develop intercultural understandings and the Neutral bay students left Moree with a greater knowledge and understanding of living in a rural community and the significance of our local Aboriginal culture. We look forward to being able to send a group of students to spend time with Neutral Bay Public School students next year.
