The Kitchen Garden Club is an extra-curricula activity that is fosters both a green thumb linked to cooking of the fresh produce. Year 4 mentor the kinder students under the guidance of Miss Kleinig and Mrs Fitzgerald – my stroll through the garden area revealed an amazing array of vegetables and some very healthy fruit trees. The children (and I) are certainly looking forward to the cooking program, although this does remind me of the very famous tale, The Little Red Hen ... Perhaps I could offer to help with the washing up!
