Public schools, like ours, cater for all students and are vital for the wellbeing of society – children of all races, cultures, religions and abilities come together to learn in a cohesive and stimulating environment. The Moree Public School community – students, staff, parents and community members - can be very proud of what we continue to achieve by working together and striving for excellence.
Last Monday the established Education Week tradition to open with an interdenominational Service of Worship continued. The children were both informed and entertained by Reverend Brown and Reverend Hayes. As always, our students listened attentively and displayed excellent manners. Student representatives involved in the service spoke eloquently and the choir performed beautifully under the guidance of Miss March and Mr Roberts.
A little later in the morning many parents took the opportunity to join the teachers for a delightful morning tea. It is always nice to meet and speak with parents in this informal setting. Morning tea was followed by our open classrooms session. Teachers and students were delighted to have many parents and friends visit their classroom.
The parents I spoke with were highly impressed with what they saw. I extend a huge thank you to all involved in our Education Week activities – Today's schools creating tomorrow's future.
