Excursions for Kindergarten to Year 3

Excursions compliment the learning activities which happen in classrooms each day. They are a wonderful opportunity for children to build on the knowledge they have learned in a fun way.

Last week kindergarten children enjoyed an excursion last Tuesday walking to various sites in town including the Fire Station, Dhiyaan Centre and Woolworths before heading out to the Trewalla pecan nut farm and a picnic lunch at Pallamallawa.

Years 1 and 2 travelled to Green Valley Farm for a day full of fun learning activities – viewing a range of farm animals, a museum of artefacts and technology from the past, and of course the very popular mini water slide.

Year 3 students also thoroughly enjoyed their excursion to Lake Keepit - a wonderful venue that gives students the opportunity to enjoy a large range of activities including archery, abseiling and canoeing. We are sure the students had many wonderful stories to tell parents after these enjoyable and informative trips.

Our thanks go to our teachers for organising the excursions and rearranging their own family lives, to accompany the students for overnight trips and to ensure that excursions are available at Moree Public School.
