On Monday 4th March, 23 MPS students and their parents headed to Armidale to compete in the north west swimming carnival. The day turned out to be a very successful one where everyone did their best, represented the district and school with pride and many achieving their personal best times. I was impressed with the fantastic sportsmanship as MPS children encouraged one another and especially included the students from schools within the Moree district.
Congratulations to: Ben DiDonna, Henry Johnston, Mitchell Beddoes, Jonah James, Will Johnston, Jack Rogers, Kobi Annis-Brown, Darcy Brazel, Will Gillingham, Chloe Elbourne, Camilla Johnston, Emma Maunder, Isobel Lavery, Rose Mealing, Savannah French, Emma Tydd, Georgina Quinlan, Abbey Muggleton, Harriet Beattie, Shyanne Roberts, Ashley Odero, Paige Bowerman, Phoebe Tydd.
A special mention goes to Chloe Elbourne, Ben DiDonna, Mitchell Beddoes, Kobi Annis-Brown and Darcy Brazel. These dedicated and talented swimmers will now go on to represent the north west in Sydney on the 11th & 12th April of this term to compete in the State Swimming Championships.
Thank you to all parents who supported their children at this event, it is a long way and a long day – but a great experience that I am sure the students will remember for many years.
