School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

Cool @ School Day
Date: Term 3
Cool @ School is a whole school social skills program. Each week, lessons focus on building confidence, self-esteem, good manners, and resilience. The program teaches problem-solving skills to help students prevent and peacefully resolve conflicts. Every year, we celebrate with a Cool @ School open day, where students come together to enjoy cooperative games and positive activities that reinforce these important skills.
Cooler @ School Day
Date: Term 4
Cool @ School is a fun celebration at the end of the year linked to our Cool @ School program. A day which students engage in a range of fun, water activities.
Book Week
Date: Term 3
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week, with the highlight being a dress-up parade where students show off their favourite book character.
NAIDOC Week
Date: Term 2
Moree Public School comes alive with colour, culture, and community as we celebrate NAIDOC Week, it includes activities such as opening ceremonies, performances, community gatherings, workshops, and opportunities for students to participate in traditional crafts and cooking. NAIDOC Week is a special time for our whole school community to come together and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, history, and achievements.
P&C Mother's Day & Father's Day Stall
Our P&C proudly hosts the annual Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls, providing students with the opportunity to select thoughtful gifts for their loved ones. These special events foster excitement and appreciation within the school community, supporting Family celebrations while raising funds to benefit the school.
Easter Hat Parade
Date: Term 1
Our K–2 students celebrate the joy of Easter with a fun-filled Easter Hat Parade. This festive event features a colourful parade showcasing students’ creative hats, followed by lively dance performances that bring the celebration to life. It’s a wonderful tradition that brings together students, staff, and families in a joyful community celebration.
