MPS Riders and their horses travelled to Tamworth last Friday to participate in the Calrossy Horse sports day. Philippa Schoupp, Blayne & Rylee O'Dempsey, Trixie and Jemima Warburton, Maggie Herring, Dekota Caban, Charlotte & Harry Smith, Jack & Roly McDonald; and Liviah Steer all rode very well against tough competition, with each rider taking home ribbons and contributing to a gret team effort. Particular congratulations go to:
• Roly McDonald – 8yrs boys Champion
• Jemima Warburton – 8yrs girls Runner-up Champion
• Blayne O’Dempsey – 11yrs boys Champion
• Philippa Schoupp – 11yrs girls Runner-up Champion
• Jack McDonald - boy rider Reserve Champion 8-12yrs
Our thanks go to Mrs Kaukiainen, Mrs Smith, Mr Hosegood (team manager) and the parents for supporting the team at their second school competition for this year. All are in agreement that the children (and their horses) were extremely well presented, displayed excellent sportsmanship and behaviour which made for an enjoyable day of competition.
